I read about this incident this morning and the police seem to be at fault. What if it was home invaders? Edit: They released the video from the officer and now I don't believe the LEO was 100% at fault. Both parties made mistakes. |

What about private sales at gun shows? Buying a gun from someone other than a licensed dealer? What about a father giving his son a gun that he inherited from his father? What about a parent giving their kid that first .22 rifle for Christmas? There are a lot of what ifs in this world. What you and others can’t fathom is that a gun is a tool. And all tools require responsibility. And the most important thing,,, our ability to own and possess firearms has nothing whatsoever to do with hunting or even personal defense. A 2:30 am shooting in a parking lot seems that whatever groups went there were probably not average law abiding citizens. I'm not sure about that exact location but the area south of it got hit with tornados and as of yesterday we're without power.
So feel free to make whatever inferences you want of this.
But hey, gang, or unlawful activity violence or thugs vs thugs still counts in the mass shooting and gun violence totals right?

Maybe not on topic, and forgive me if I'm repeating myself . Down here, a relatively short form, background check, and a fee are all that's required. I have the equivalent of a CCWP here. It took a while to get it, but any paperwork here is slow.
I couldn't have that privilege easily, or at all, in CR, or Honduras, my other two choices ten years ago.
I didn't actually need it, but I'm very happy to have it. I feel lucky to live in a safe place.
Most of us here, if not all, on this forum, are fortunate to have security, and avoid the bad parts of society.
