Well first of all both my Mrs and myself miss wing windows.
Man they were nice. What the heck. They need to redesign a car to put them back in. I think the automakers would be surprised at how many people would order them.
I certainly would. 👍

I spent the first 5 years of my life riding on my dad's left knee as he drove his van around town putting out bids and picking up checks and meeting with clients. I started everyday off with a fine breakfast at the Meca grill. Then I'd sit on his knee and ride around town with the wond blowing in my hair with no concept of responsibility or worry. My biggest concern was if it was gonna rain since I couldn't hang out out the window. And what time the "big kids" my brother and sister got home from school. Can you imagine seeing a man with a toddler to preschooler riding around everywhere on his lap? That same man gets on to me all the time for me letting my kids wander around the cab of my truck on a dirt road lol.

Open roads with little traffic where you could hang the azz end of your car out on a curve while running 100 mph +.
The rumpity rump of a Duntov 30-30 idling at about 700 rpm.

My youngest son, at about 5 years of age, used to stand on the pickups seat tight next to me and tuck himself behind my shoulder with his arm wrapped around my neck. Probably not the safest thing to do but it made both of us feel good. He loved riding in the truck like that with me.

Probably not the safest thing to do but it made both of us feel good. He loved riding in the truck like that with me. Grandfather had a 72 or 73 F100. Big block 360. Thing was torquey. First vehicle I ever drove when I could barely reach the pedals. Rode in the back of that thing from Montgomery to Prattville and back hundreds of times. Man I wish I could find that truck today. I'd restore it to it's original state. I'm not even sure if it had FM radio. It was always on AM. Bench seat. Manual windows. When I was a kid we'd fight to ride in the back. Kids today wouldn't be caught dead in the back of a pickup lol.

McDonalds original fries and that's about it. Wasn't it the beef tallow component of the fry oil that made them so good? At least that's what I seem to remember...........and dipping them in a milkshake!!!!!

Yeah they removed the beef part and replaced it with more trans fat. From what I remembered I think they were sued by some Hindu people about the beef fat in the fry oil. They lost a bunch of money on it and now everyone has less tasty fries.

At least that's what I seem to remember...........and dipping them in a milkshake!!!!! It was the beef tallow that made them so good. They went to pure veggie oil as a health PR move but the backlash was palpable. While retaining the healthy advertising they snuck the tallow back in. They got sued for false advertising, removed the tallow again and started using beef flavoring to simulate the old way. Somewhere in the late 80s maybe?
