At least present a name that you could support. If “none of the above” were to actually win, who would our president be? Who would you want to leave the decision to of picking our next president? |

Sorry, but you don't get to judge another's vote as wasted. Nor does anyone else. That's the point: I think it is up to each of us to vote for whoever we want for whatever reason we want....or not....including, as you put it, a "wasted" vote. Had you stuck to "vote your conscience", without qualification, then I would agree. Sorry but…… you don’t get to determine whether or not someone else thinks a vote is wasted. Same reason many on here will vote for Trump. Biden is a horrible President. They see it as, Trump is a horrible choice, but he's better than the other horrible choice. I just refuse to play the "choose the least horrible person to be President" game any longer. Others will still play. I think the same is true for many Biden voters. While Biden sucks, they think Trump sucks worse. I'd like to be proud of my vote, which is why I can not vote for either of them. Trump sucks worse, EZ-PZ, I was considering an alternative, but the pubs nominated the only person Biden can beat. Fucking silly. |

I would assume, the various state laws would then have the Governor or legislature choose the Electors for the Electoral College and they would choose the winner. If that did not work, then it would go to the House to choose with the representatives for each state coming together and choosing a candidate and the winner needing 26 votes to become President. The Senate would choose the VP with each Senator getting a vote and 51 being needed to win. Wouldn't be any worse than letting the idiots who voted these two imbeciles as the best their parties had to offer choose. |

Not sure why you wouldn’t want to just say “I’m writing in XYZ for the office”. I realize it won’t come into play this cycle (or probably any cycle in the future either), but letting the government pick who they want seems like a worse position than only being left with two bad choices. At least, if you write an actual name in, you can say who you felt would have been a good leader and can legitimately claim that you didn’t support the government appointee which is kind of how I see a vote that leaves it up to someone else to decide for you. |
