Trying NOTto let it get political. No names were mentioned. Just the economic fact that SOMEONE, which is ever American taxpayer, has to carry the load for the “cheap labor” being enjoyed and exploited by some employers. It costs everyone.

You know the issue is political. You are trying to bend the rules to discuss politics and pretend you are not.

The "cheap labor" is enjoyed by everyone. Lawn maintenance, kitchen help, fruit and vegetable pickers, packing house workers, all primarily illegals. If you think inflation's bad now, wait until farmers have to pay their help minimum wage.

Where exactly do you find labor that's below minimum wage? Illegal laborers in Atlanta are $200 cash per day

You're going to the wrong Mercado. LMAO They can be pick up in Wiamuma at the supermarket for $100 and a case of Modela for the day. They line up about 50-75 deep each morning before sunrise still drunk from the night before and work harder than most sober legal citizens.

The farm workers should be here only temporarily through the guest worker visa program.

Legal migrant farm workers already make more than minimum wage, by law.
If an illigal makes less, I don’t feel sorry for them. They should have followed the law and come to the US legally.

The sheer engineering in railroad construction is unbelievable - the tolerances are tight, needs to be level, etc. That they did much of it before we had lasers and GPS.

And they weren’t only black. Native Americans enslaved each other for centuries before and during European settlement. In Europe, lots of white slaves too. Asians in the far east were enslaved. It was far from a uniquely American thing. Mostly gone now, luckily, except for the political enslavement we still see supported by so many today.

Good for them. Maybe more people will stop eating it. I find the people that eat a lot of fast food are the very people that can’t afford it. Both health wise and monetarily. There are so many ways to eat on the cheap if you’re not lazy.
