Sounds good to me! I'm open weekends of June 22, July 20, July 27. Can do monday, thursday and friday during the week. I made the offer, so let me try and follow up. You know I have a lot of slippery slopes to negotiate prior. Tight lines, brother

Be more fun if we could do what we want when we want to.

Looks like the Atlantic ARS season will be one day, July 12. It may change if there are small craft advisories.

Not wasting my time with one day, cheaper to just pay the fine...

From 2017For red snapper violations that involve fish caught in federal waters during a closed season, that are over the catch limit, undersized, or filleted at sea, the penalty now starts at $500 per violation, plus an additional $50 per fish — up to the first 20 fish — associated with each violation.

That’s cost prohibitive.
I gotta find a place in 3 miles that holds them.

We have a couple near shore reefs out of ponce. They get hammered but are inside 3 miles. Water is 50 feet, should be deep enough.
Gulf side is 12 miles.
If they made atlantic side 12 miles, be plenty of state water fish.

I think the Gulf State water extends 9 miles.

See my sig I'm not anti commercial fishing at all. I just think it's wrong for commercial fishermen to be able to go take fish when we are not. Yea, yea, yea.....they are feeding the masses, etc. etc. give me a break. NMFS and NOAA screw up everything they touch. The " masses" are buying $3.99 farmed Tilapia....not ARS...and we all know that.

Snapper grouper was $26/pound last time I was in the fish market. Probably $30 or more now.

Neither buying it or fishing for it is worthwhile to me. I'll stick with bream, shellcrackers, and specks.
The man got his way and beat me into submission. Good luck, comrades, with the future foolishness to come.
