Solid plan. I basically do the same in November. I should have done it in December and stuck to my quarterly plan. I just went and got 5 gallons of E-free and realized I am low on Sta Bil, but used what I had and will order more, as I'm too lazy to go to Walmart on a Saturday. House is running off the Honda generator now. Screenshot from my phone showing the Honda app.

Skin cancer removal...Sucks They did my youngest brothers forehead. There's not a lot of meat up there. I swear it looked like You could see his skull.

Today I put a new battery in my brother's Chrysler 200. I have to remove the left front tire to access it. You can't even see it under the hood. Looks like a pain in the ass. But the one he has dies if the car sits for a few days or it is cold. I think it is 5 or 6 years old, so it has served it's purpose. Well, that was a pain in the ass, back, hands, etc. Have to dismantle the front quarter panel to get to the battery. Damndest thing I ever saw. Hidden under the fuse box behind the front bumper. Don't know hat kind of sick engineer came up with that idea, but he needs to be hung. Only thing under the hood is two jump points if the battery goes dead.

Me and my Buddy did a starter on a Nissan Armada, you had to remove the intake manifold . Starter was under the intake manifold. Talk about asshole engineers.

Whoever put plastic tubes on the cooling system on the v6 Impala is a sob too. The replacement tubes are metal I'm told. I haven't tried it again yet. Power steering and alternator has to go and everything to get to them.

Got up at 0300,went duck hunting, killed ducks, cleaned ducks, cleaned guns, changed out a $460 alternator on my wife's suburban, took half a nap, going through the ATVs and SxS for a night woods ride with a couple other families for some grilled venison burgers. Long day. Good day.

I got up and went duck hunting too. I shot a moccasin in the decoys( sorry JB). Took a load of shit to the dump and went into and across town for some oysters to have tonight.( I’ve had a craving for a couple weeks now). I’ll be out back this evening with a fire, beverage, towel/shucking knife and a bottle of cholula. Spending the rest of the afternoon gathering firewood and then cleaning out my truck.

Couple weeks ago I helped my kid change the headlight bulbs in his 19 f150. Holy shit was I calling some “engineer “some very bad things. Had to pull the wheel well plastic and the battery and I still barely got them in.WTF?

See.. All of y'all talking about how much trouble it is to do something as simple (supposedly) as change a battery or headlight. I would have messed all of that shit up, it would have had to sit there until who knows how long before I could get somebody to come and straighten out what I had messed up. lol.

they engineer it so that home repair is not worth the trouble.
they make more money in the shop than on the showroom floor.
Maintenance is where the profit is.

I spent an hour this morning delivering on Uber Eats.. Downloaded the app this week to give it a try.
Spent the afternoon getting all my tax docs in order.
Now I am prepping for dinner, pollo empanizado, bistec empanizado con arroz blanco y frijoles negros.
In English, it is fried chicken and steak with white rice and beans.

Yup, and those cock suckers can eat shit. I’m not paying a grand for a spark plug change. Give me a case of beer and a day to to figure it out.

Yes but the chicken and Palomilla is pounded flat and then breaded. I ain't Cuban but some of these northern southerners may not know the difference. BTW, We used to pound the Jewfish steaks to a 1/4" thickness and cook them the same way.

I use to take my Yankee Doctor bud and his son into the far backcountry and poach Jewfish regular. They were scared till I gaffed the first 25 pounder into the boat. You can take this to the fancy restaurant and they'll cook it 10 ways. Tell them it's Grouper. After that first poaching trip I converted a couple Ohio Yankees into Cracker Poachers...Winning

After that first poaching trip I converted a couple Ohio Yankees into Cracker Poachers...Winning I'm gonna hang for this.......I've said this before..... Back home we had this manmade channel covered on one side with giant boulders. Like a thousand feet long. Covered up with snook and jewfish. And I mean covered up. The Jewish would beat the snook to the bait. Which will freak you out to actually see it. So......we would go to the bar and get liquored up, and put a couple of Jewfish in the live well for the ride home. At 60 knots I could make it home it about 12 minutes. Down here jewfish are legal. Needless to say my neighbors eat good. The 300 pounders ain't no fun but the 10 pounders are like 18 year old gavinas. . So I've heard.

Trimmed some plants around the house. Backwashed the pool pump and put in the pool cleaner. Received the $200 bucket of 3" Chlorine tablets from Amazon and threw a few of those in the pool as well. Put the wife's car battery on the charger for a couple hours as she doesn't drive enough to keep the battery in tip top shape.
I did watch a couple good movies this weekend, watched The Boys In The Boat yesterday and American Star today.

Ya might want to look into a saltwater chlorine generator for your pool. Smartest move i ever made. A bit costly up front BUT it cuts your monthly nut for supplies and maimtence way down. I recommend pentair.

I second the saltwater chlorinator. If it wasn't for that marvelous mechanism my pool would probably look like shit. It takes 90% of the labor out of owning a cement pond.

It's not like it's set it and forget it BUT it's as close as you are going to get for pool maintenance.
