We lost power, Transformer went bad and the neighbor and I lost half our power, now GRU has it shut off and is waiting on a part to fix it. Employee said we would be back up within the hour.

I never have trick or treaters I'm off thr road and I have mean dogs. Last year I gave out $20s to the small group that put fear to the wind and showed up. Well that same group were the only ones last night. Some of America's youth are thinkers

Working in Baldwin Park - I had to get out ASAP after 5. There were cars loaded to the gills with kids coming in.
No way I was gonna drive out after dark, did that once a few years back and the parents in black costumes just walk out in front of cars to stop them but you can't see them and they get all pissy.
Saw the first trick or treater in my neighborhood in about 10-15 yrs last night. Was headed to get $1 out of my wallet and they just kept going. Fair enough.

Would have loved to see that kids face when he finds that can of Campbell’s Cream of Broccoli soup I put in his oversized candy bag when he got home. 😁

Not a single souls showed up to my place this year or the last two years I've lived at my place. We have no sidewalks or street lights in my Clearwater neighborhood. Wife and kid went trick or treating some place else and I enjoyed a nice quite evening alone at home.

Only about 25 showed up. Since we’re on really large lots, the walking kids expend too many calories for the sweets. A couple of neighbors with side-by-sides pulling trailers showed up. Got to catch up w them before they rolled on. It seems a lot of neighborhoods with clubhouses are doing “trunk-er-treats” which is great as the kids can hit it big time and go home. My grandkids have done three events like that this week. Keeps kids off the streets. Now I have a lot of chocolate to eat…

What happened to the good old days when we would collect shopping bags full of candy and the paper bags were much larger back then. Not to mention pranking a few humbugs in the neighborhood. Just good clean fun. No razor blades or poison concerns with the candy either.

No kids at all.
None for several years, in fact.
So, no carved pumpkin, no leftover candy, no problems either.
