Been waiting for the shrimp to get big enough to truly justify working on them......and no......not quite there yet.......though, if you use a 5/8 and shake it a good bit before closing it completely and if you've help on the boat so that the bigger ones can be picked out fast enough to get the rest over the side alive.....then maybe a little effort is justified. Spent about a hour with the net and then a couple of three fishing docks.......... Some of the biggest croakers we caught in a while, lots of freshwater cats, one of which was 7 pounds or more, mangroves and reds. Basically.....the typical sort of thing you'd expect from the St. Johns this time of year. Give the weather that's coming this weekend time to clear out and then another few days.......then check the shrimp again. None of the ones we caught had red legs, even the largest ones, so they're not hauling butt as of yet. Attachments:
