Well about 5 Thousand acres of it. Part of the main area I hunt. Clearcut and plowed into cornrow ruts 3 Ft. deep. Scared me at first but I noticed the deer never left. It became obvious they were bedding right along the swamp edges in that little hump between water and clearcut. Now they can see for hundreds of yards in front of them and hear anything walking in the water behind them. I'm a Close in 30 to 50 yards guy but I gotta adapt there. Found a spot where the swamp head runs real close to a pasture full of big Oaks. Now I know them acorns gonna be dropping real soon and that 100 yard opening between the swamp and them oaks is gonna rock,,,and it,s Rut too. Sniper with a Singleshot...that's gonna be me...

Good luck 👍 , the power of observation (and time) usually pays off.

Seriously......5000 acres all at once? How in the heck did they find the crews to cut it all......and mills to take it all....

Now if Weyerhauser owned the property, about the time that the clear-cut started growing some food and lay-up cover they would go in there herbicide it. I hope your timber company has a different plan.

OH , Their gonna spray it.. They don't replant till January or so and when they do spray it all that will do is push the deer over to my main area behind my house. I'm not missing out on the hunting for sure. Just adapt and overcome...
