I think they are pretty much a nationwide company
My father (RIP) loved and my Mrs loves their stuffed peppers.
Just before my dad passed away in 2022 I ordered some for him. I was surprised to see that they had gone up in price from about $17 to $22 a tray.
The Mrs wanted some the other day and I ordered them for her. They are now $29! That was kind of a surprise as I had thought prices were beginning to fall a bit.
Now these were all delivered to the house by a shopping service at prices that are probably 10% higher than in store prices but they are all relative.
Oh well. She is a picky eater and is loosing weight so I am ordering more for her right now.
Take care of yourselves

Add tax if you aren't exempt and delivery fees to that and I think you did all right. The main thing is that your wife likes them and will eat them. Her health is more important than the price of food.

My sis makes stuffed peppers for my dad a lot. My mother was a very good cook. She made the best stuffed peppers that I ever had. But unfortunately she was a memory cook. She never wrote anything down. The delicious food she used to prepare all went with her. We all miss our parents I’m sure but my mom spent her life healing up a skinny, sickly little boy. I owe her everything.

I saw some Stouffer's stuffed peppers on sale at Publix today for $4.00. After this thread I ended up buying them and microwaved them for lunch. They were pretty good for frozen. I will buy some more before the sale ends.

My GM and mom used to make some stuffed peppers that were fantastic. Don't think I could ever buy a prefabbed dinner.

My wife cooks rice almost daily and sometimes I get tired of it and want something different. I have no problem with making instant mashed potatoes or buying stouffers Mac and cheese for a side dish.

There is nothing like “home cooked ” but in this day and age sometimes the time to prepare a home cooked dinner just isn’t available. It’s this lack of time that makes many of us turn to pre prepared food. It’s great to find pre prepared foods that are delicious and close to what home cooked food would be.
A great example would be the other day we made breaded pork chops. It was about an hour prep to do a dozen.
They were delicious though. I can eat breaded pork chops like they are candy. I think I ate 6 myself over two days.

Stouffer’s still has a couple things I can eat. FrenchBread pizza, the chipped beef(on burnt toast) and the small lasagna w/meatsauce isn’t too shabby (gotta cook in the oven though, takes close to an hour). Better than DinoNuggets.

Mostly. However they can be made with multiple other meats Ground beef market has been really high for a while.... And a lot of the current ground beef situation has to do with the fast food industry
The market for pre made fast food patties is a HUGE segment of the fast food market...
The patty makers have for years leaned heavily on beef from Central And South America.... Packed specifically for grinding... Comes in 60 pound frozen bricks. sometimes 25 kilo packaging. Commonly called bull meat, shank meat, etc... available in lean percentages from 70 to 95%
It was readily available, of good quality. And inexpensive compared to domestic beef.... The availability of this product has shrank considerably....causing the patty and ground beef producers to lean more heavily on domestic supply..... Causing huge spikes in wholesale pricing of chuck and round cuts.

I thought so.... I have had them.... But it was never a thing in my family.... And I never tried to make them myself or order them from a menu...
I do not remember when I had them last... My Mother in law made them a time or two.... And I ate them... They were good.. But I would not go out of my way to eat them..
I am not a bell pepper fan...

I'm not a green bell pepper fan but I like the others. I always remember they blended the ground beef eith rice and topped it with some kind of red sauce. To my chagrin I don't remember the seasonings, which are the key.

I think the filling for stuffed peppers is similar to the way I make stuffed cabbage rolls.

It’s exactly the same as how Mom made them both. She sometimes would make them both at the same time. When she did I think I would gain 5 pounds that week. 😋

Everything tastes good if you put enough maple syrup on it.

Just tried some “Stoufers” stuffed peppers. They were good but not as good as the ones from “Gordon Food Service”.
When I have the time I will try to make some homemade stuffed peppers and cabbage rolls. Sure wish I had mom’s recipe.
Any recipe suggestions would be greatly appreciated 👍

That Chef Ramsey Chef guy makes a great Stuffed Lasagna premade that is really good. I always have a container or two in the freezer. One tray feeds one person really well and it's like 5 Bucks.
