I will just repost this here
Bad move on Trump's part. He just reinforces the Harris campaign position that he would back out of the ABC debate if they did Fox first. I think he has to do the ABC debate or he will look scared to debate Harris. Then the ball is in his court.
Harris has stated she will do two debates. He can then push her into the second debate with Fox, CBS, CNN or NBC and claim she is scared if she does not accept. If he does the ABC debate, he then controls the narrative, right now he is backed into a corner and will get beat up if he doesn't get out of it.

VP Harris campaign statement about whether there should be a "mute" button at Sept 10 Presidential debate
"We have told ABC and other networks seeking to host a possible October debate that we believe both candidates’ mics should be live throughout the full broadcast. Our understanding is that Trump’s handlers prefer the muted microphone because they don’t think their candidate can act presidential for 90 minutes on his own. We suspect Trump’s team has not even told their boss about this dispute because it would be too embarrassing to admit they don’t think he can handle himself against Vice President Harris without the benefit of a mute button..."

I would be surprised if Trump debates Harris.

Each side is trying to control Harris’ first impression with the public by the forum she presents herself to. ABC will be friendly to her as a given. Fox will be either hostile to her or at best treat her and Trump the same, which will probably mean she’ll look bad anyhow. Its a sad state of affairs that this far into things, Harris has yet to offer either herself or a policy platform for scrutiny. Shame on anyone giving her a pass because she simply “isn’t Trump.”

Bullfrog ... as an expert on chickens I'm surprised you don't recognize one when you see him.
the Orang Man is an absolute coward and is terrified to debate anywhere but one of his rallies where he can bully his way around.

Trump already did a debate on liberal MSM. ABC is more liberal than CNN. The entire organization is liberal and without question will give Harris the questions beforehand. They should agree on 2 debates. One where Harris campaign chooses the venue and the other the Trump campaign. This chicken shit you post is stupid, Harris is the chicken shit.

Some of you are delusional. Trump isn't afraid to debate the Harlot on neutral ground or fair terms. It's the other way around.
She won't debate him unless she has ample protective measures that allow her to giggle her way through the ordeal with a planned occasional pot shot.

Shame on anyone giving her a pass because she simply “isn’t Trump.” Fox will protect Trump as much as you think ABC will protect Harris. Whether Harris is afraid of media interviews or not is immaterial. Trump has agreed to the ABC debate and failure to show will reflect negatively on him. Harris has stated from the beginning they will do 2 debates, but ABC is the agreed-to debate and will occur before other debates are scheduled. Due to him agreeing to the ABC debate and her clearly saying she would only do another debate after that date, she controls the narrative. If Trump backs out of the ABC debate, it will look like he is scared of her and ABC. Once he does the ABC debates, then he will be able to control the narrative for the next debate and demand she show up since he did the ABC debate. But until he shows up for the ABC debate, he is on the defensive. If you don't believe me, look at the poll numbers. She and her campaign are playing offense right now and doing a damn fine job if you look at poll numbers and that is the only thing that matters. If she has the voters moving her way, she is succeeding. Whether or not she keeps the momentum going, I do not know. But right now, she has Trump on the ropes and he better figure out how to get back in the center of the ring and backing out of the ABC debate is not the way to do it.

Trump doesn't need protection from the media or a moderator. He merely needs the venue to be fair and balanced.

Fox is not neutral and never has been. It is funny that anyone would claim Fox is fair and neutral. Trump wants Fox because they are Trump friendly. Nobody can claim the CNN debate was not fair and neutral np matter how the network leans. Whether or not any of the chosen moderators will be fair and neutral will not be known until the debate takes place, ABC, FOX, CBS, NBC, CNN, all may be fair to both candidates or they may all have a bias during the debates. We won't know until the debates take place.

Trump doesn't need protection from the media or a moderator. He merely needs the venue to be fair and balanced. So, if ABC hosts it at a neutral site then things are fair and balanced. The ABC debate is being held at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia. While the heart of Philly is democrats, the surrounding area is Republican. Pennsylvania is a battleground state. It would appear the venue will be fair and balanced. I am sure each candidate will get an equal number of tickets to give to supporters since an audience will be allowed. I would prefer no audience since that would make the debate more fair and balanced without the crowd cheering on their favorite candidate.

It kills them that they don't get to control how she runs her campaign.
