Dang, just spent 30 minutes updating but lost it. Zagreb Croatia, the city pics. Croatia is one of the safest countries in the world, crime is virtually non existent. Children travel zagreb (about 800,000) by themselves via bus, trams, etc. Huge parks, city squares, etc. Food was bao buns of aged beef (similar to bbq brisket) with kimchi and peanuts, tacos pork with kimchi, panko fried chicken sandwich with kimchi and fried tofu sandwich. I bough 5 euros worth of cured, aged smoked ham similar to prosciutto and it ended up being huge, about 60$ in the US. Lakes are Plitzvika National park, crazy limestone firmed lakes in a huge gorge most of my pics are too big to post. They get by law, 20 something national holidays, every time you give blood you get one day off work, a hot meal and a glass of wine. Other perks too, but salaries are low and taxes high. Healthcare is a right so is college. My daughters partner fainted after running a marathon, in the boonies an hour from Zagreb. They took him by ambulance to the hospital in Zagreb and kept him overnight with many tests, ekgs, brain scan, full blood work, etc. There was an issue with his insurance so he decided to pay and deal wit later...72 euros! He's fine. Highly recommend safe and wonderful place to visit. More pics and updates will follow. |

The women are well, I think some of the most beautiful in the world. Had no idea. Lots of bars in Zagreb but they are known for their coffee. |
