You’re going to have to explain that one to me. Just look at the current situation and if it's Trump vs Harris one of the 2 is going to win. Clear your mind of any candidate and focus on which direction is best for the Country. You've seen the right and today's left. You would have to believe one direction is better than the other. But there you are again trying to quote Christ to get me to vote a particular way. I can very easily see that the Right is generally going to lead to a better society than the Left. That’s not the issue. The issue is that the secular Right is trying to make itself out to specifically be a branch of Christianity when it is not, and its becoming to the point of being spiritually unhealthy. If MAGA was all about “hey, most of us are not evangelical Christians. MAGA is not a branch of Christian theology. All we want to do is run the country based on secular right-wing principles, I wouldn’t have much of an objection. But all these memes of Trump and Christ cradling each other, misquotes of Scripture to make Trump appear to be chosen by God, and many otherwise elevating the United States as being God’s chosen nation, are all misleading Christians. Its becoming a spiritual cancer. Its more important to us and God that the cancer be removed from the church than it is the country be governed by a better secular ideology. |

I've made very clear that I'm not voting for Trump. Early on, it was because I think he's a political fake. He doesn't really believe in right-wing populism. He just pays lip service to it. I want the real-deal to be running who petal to the metal believes in it. I also said I'd vote for him if Biden dropped out and was replaced with a radical leftist. I consider Harris a radical leftist. However, now that a political radical is in the race, I still don't feel good voting for Trump for entirely religious reasons, which I wrote about in-depth in another thread. That's still where I'm at. I'm not defending Trump's words. I'm only discerning what I think he really means. Truth are fairness are important to me on the principles of them. I'd defend anyone I feel is being misrepresented, even if I disagree with or even find he person repugnant for different reasons. He has said the same thing at another evangelical rally a month ago. He said: "You gotta get out and vote. Just this time. In four years, you don’t have to vote, OK? In four years don’t vote, I don’t care." All he's trying to do is get evangelicals to go out and vote for him. He doesn't care what happens 4 years from now because he won't be the one running. The real story here is that he's worried that evangelicals are not going to go vote for him so he's trying to prod us as much as he can. Evangelical pastors have been concerned about the influence secular MAGA ideology has had on their congregants for a while. Then after the assassination attempt, the temperature went way up, causing pastors to start speaking out very forcefully about their congregations' need to separate Trump from Christianity in their hearts and minds. It's moved through evangelicalism like a strong ripple on an otherwise still pond. Non-evangelicals wouldn't be aware of it. If there's enough Christians whose conscience is offended by Trump that they don't vote, Trump probably can't win in any scenario. Somehow I want Harris to lose, without supporting Trump to do it. It's the same bad choices we had before Biden dropped out. Just that Harris is bad because of her ideology. Biden was bad because he was old. Trump is bad because... who knows what Trump is really about? Then why are you defending him? And I sincerely apologize if you have stated in the past.... That you will not vote for Trump... I had not seen that...But that does not explain your repeated defenses of him... If you took his statements yesterday alone and separate... it is easy to manipulate wheat he is saying.... However....And He could have been pandering to his base he was speaking to.... But he says stuff like this a LOT... Dictator or a day taken alone is one thing... his comment yesterday... could be taken several ways..... His bromance with Kim Jong whatever number he is... The other day he said he thought Kim Jong version infinity.... He idolizes Putin... He speaks highly of Orban or whatever his name is..And I do not slash marks above letters... That fucker is an autocrat that wants to be leader for life with inheritable titles or he can appoint his mini me bobcat... Vance..... If nothing else... Fair is fair and everyone deserves to be treated fairly. You don't get to put down everything a person does just because you don't like the person and you feel they "deserve" it. What many of you do concerning Trump is because you're overall offended by him, you attack him even if he says "2+2=4." You either change how the arithmetic works or you deny he said what he actually said and start repeating "Trump said '2+2=potato.' I'll call that out every time just on the principle of it. That doesn't mean I support Trump. If you think it does, that only shows your bias.
