So what's your theory? He's going to be an evil life-long dictator? Naw, only on day 1. And then what?

We can only go by the words that come out of his face hole, but I'm not going to waste my time citing endless examples of fascists rhetoric that you and your's consider clearly harmless fun.

You are definitely the expert on harmful rhetoric around here. You come so close to spending some time with nick you had his hopes up.

An actor playing to his audience, just like every single political figure on both sides. So that sort of rhetoric is fine now? Who can even remember who here got their panties in a wad when Biden used the word bullseye? According to our politicians, yes. According to me, no. I never said it was fine, nor did my panties get skid marks 🙂.

Who here actually watched the speech? I'm watching it now so I can hear it in context. I made sure to not give you a sound bite.... I gave you the entire statement....
You can watch it all you want..... The statement is still the same... So what is your take?

If you think its the opposite of “harmless fun” (your words not mine), you must have some idea what it really means. Tell us.

I gave it. I’ll requote it.

He means that he's going to fix the country so good that it won't matter if Christians turn out for the next election or not, because America will be so great again that the fate of the country won't hang in the balance after he leaves office. He says the same thing elsewhere in the speech. Because I bothered to listen to large parts of it. He's worried that Christians won't get out and vote for him. Because I must not be the only one concerned about how MAGA and Christianity is confusing political rhetoric with theology. It's his typical swagger. No one's talking about the big thing he said there. "I love you Christians. I'm not Christian." Above.

I have never seen trump speak to a crowd and say to them that he is something they are not... And I know it sounds like he says he is not..... But I might be able to clean it up...
But in what world... Would a group of Christians cheer a person that declared they were not a Christian in a speech...

Yes, there would still be cheers, because first there’s no telling who’s actually in the crowd. Its not necessarily 1,000 Florida Bullfrogs. There’s going to be Trumpites there who are Trump supporters first and theoretically Christians second. But more importantly, and what I’m wondering, is if Trump’s team is realizing they’re losing evangelicals. Elsewhere in the speech he harps on low voter turnout by evangelicals and how we must get out and vote. He is pretty much asking us to hold our noses if we have to. Follow our hearts yes, but understand on a common sense level that following our hearts too much will get the radical left elected. He’ll do more to make skeptical Christians vote for him if he just straight out says he’s a pagan.

If you really wanted to be accurate you would swap the words Christians and evangelicals for Americans.

I do not know exactly what he was trying to imply.... But this is your take away?

Ironically, he steadfastly maintains that he does not.
