Any one put trail cameras over sloughs and such to watch for gator activity? I’ve got tags this year for a not so “ideal” area but I’m grateful to have them non the less. I have been scouting often. Just want to up my chances of success and I have a few cameras not being used at the moment. Does anyone do this? Thanks for any input

Sure you could set up a camera over a big slide into a nasty slough and get a bunch of pictures of a 12 footer but what’s your plan to kill him? Remember you can’t use guns on public gator hunts. There’s plenty of big gators on WMAs in areas that aren’t hard to get a tag for but they don’t just let you walk up and hit em with a bang stick. Even if you do kill one how the heck do you get it out? Best to stick with hunting from a boat

No reason you can't set a camera. Do you have a plan for how to get the gators to come in front of it close enough to set it off?
Bait the area? Stake out some dead fish?
