You can’t be serious. The media says Trump is the devil. Both for his policies and his personal life. Which candidate is it that owns his own media company and getting ready to start streaming video channels soon? That doesn’t mean anything. Trump’s media only preaches to the choir. Now whether this will be the election where the internet kills legacy media in terms of relevance, remains to be seen. Harris will continue to be lauded by ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, Late Night Talk, and the newspapers. While on X she’ll continue to be a living meme. Fox News simply reaches the people who already agree with them. The others pretend to be neutral, but are actually propaganda organs of the Democratic party. The question will be whether swing voters are more persuaded by liberal legacy media or social media meme culture, which is starting to trend more conservative.

Fox News, News Max, OAN, conservative talk radio. It’s not as one sided as it once was. Add on blogs , pod casts , and social media feeds.

Who do you think ABC CBS, NBC, CNN and Late Night Talk reaches? They reach the people who agree with them. Fox News has the highest ratings. Fox has 2 million viewers compared to CNN's 600,000 in prime time. Fox also pretends to be neutral as does NewsMax. Nobody is the propaganda arm of anyone. They sell what the viewers are buying, it is all about the ad revenue and money. Fox influences more people than any other news service according to the ratings data.

They don’t reach significant amounts of people outside of the conservative echo chamber. I don’t believe anyone switches from voting Democrat to Republican because of Fox News. Everyone knows Fox is openly conservative and panders to a conservative audience. Not so with the legacy media sources. They are overwhelmingly Democrat but they pretend not to be. Only MSNBC openly operates as liberal as the equal and opposite counterbalance to Fox. The others all pretend to be in the middle, when in fact they are also squarely under the influence of the Democratic party. Presumably those are the outlets that influence swing voters through the power of suggestion. Depends on how many actual undecided voters actually exist and whether they’re swayed by biased media that pretends to not be biased.

Ratings and viewers has nothing to do with influence. I bet a large % are opponents getting their talking points.

If the media is on lock how did he win. Younger voters are not watching the 5 o’clock news. They get their news from social media. I have and 18 and 20 year old, trust me, they are not tuning into meet the press on Sundays.

Has social media supplanted their influence? Unknown. But as for how Trump won in 2016… combination of excitement over the first Right-Populist candidate in recent times and …. Hillary.

Probably similar to Fox, Newsmax, Daily Mail, Truth Social, and the other conservative media outlets out there. If its a given that the liberal media outlets, who pretend to not be liberal, has the same audience size as the openly conservative media outlets, who are the swing voters listening to? My bet is that few swing voters digest conservative media, but instead historically looked to the outlets that pretend to be unbiased. As for right now as this moment, in a world with far reaching social media, I don’t know whether that would still be the case even if it was a few years ago.

Pretend? None of the "liberal media outlets" you mention are as left-biased as the (pretend?) "fair and balanced" Fox News is right-biased, and it's not even close.
What happens if you factor that into the equation?
We are living it, and I suspect it's partially accountable for your own personal epiphany on presidential voting.

Leaving the geriatric in the dust. Harris joins TikTok following candidacy announcementVice President Harris now has her own account on the social media platform TikTok as she has recently gained traction on social media in the wake of her campaign announcement.
“Well, I’ve heard that recently I’ve been on the ‘for you’ page, so I thought I would get on here myself,” Harris said in a Thursday post on TikTok, alluding to her recent popularity on the platform.
Harris has increasingly become the focus of memes on the platform — which is commonly associated with Generation Z — as she recently has become the likely Democratic presidential nominee.thehill.com/homenews/4793730-kamala-harris-tik-tok/

See, nothing about policy or the direction of the Country.
