Did not get the boat into the water until 9:00....tossed the net the first time about 20 minutes later. Made 2 casts.....had over a 100 shrimp.....all but one or two mosquito sized. But, as that's what is out there, that IS what the fish are eating. Louann caught 2 speckled trout and a keeper mangrove in the first 20 minutes........ When we quit ( storms building fast and as we dawdled the tide was slowing ) it was about 11:00......had the boat back in the driveway a couple of minutes before noon. 1 saltwater cat 7 freshwater cats 1 sheepshead 2 mangroves 2 speckled trout 1 red And what's for dinner is speckled trout and mangrove rolled in breadcrumbs and seared in olive oil!!!! Plus.......6 crab traps are now baited. At least 3 dinners.......and more if the crabs play. Got to love the St. Johns.......when it's right. Also.....we tossed all the freshwater cats back......but....they were all plump and perfect so reality is there was more than what we kept And the shrimp. If the tropical rain events hold off this late summer it could be special for them too!

Ya'll fish upriver of the Buckman? That is a fat Mango for the "mostly" fresh St Johns south of the Fuller Warren...

Thanks for the report! I’m headed back to work tomorrow, so hoping everyone else throws up more reports to keep me sane until I can get back out.
