On the 4th in the Democrat controlled City of Chicago there were 35 shooting victims with 9 deaths.
In the suburbs, whose population is about three times that of the City of Chicago there were no shootings and no deaths reported.
But you know it’s the guns. However I am glad to report that no firearms from my collection went out and shot anyone. Nor did any firearms belonging to any of my friends.
It’s time to strictly enforce the gun laws that are on the books already, enact more severe laws and penalties and if necessary build the bigger prison system to house the criminals that are behind these crimes.

Yeah, but what if the perps are members of an historically oppressed minority? And what if the can't afford bail? Then who will there be to prey on the law abiding? We'll probably have to import new criminals to do the jobs American criminals are no longer able to do... Oh, wait... Already did! |

Bad Leroy Brown supposedly was a real person.
I had a friend in the 60’s that could have been his double. His name was Robert Lowery. We called him “Moose”. He was an absolute beast. An “enforcer” for a famous Chicago street gang.
He was in the Old Town area one night and a little guy came up behind him and shot him in the back of the head. No more Moose. He was a real friend though and I think of him every so often. Especially when I hear that song.

No need to address the cause. The Emergency Supplemental Victims Fund started in 2022 under former Mayor Lori Lightfoot, and originally served five communities. It's now growing to 10 more neighborhoods, providing about $10 million over the next three years. The expansion of the program will be funded with federal stimulus money. |
