Me and a buddy chased the dolphin today, wind outta the SW at 5-8, beautiful flat morning. Lines we in at 8am about 15 miles east of the port, not a line but decent sized patches with plenty of turns around. They were chewing, caught 10 fish in quick work but only 3 keepers. Got covered up in boats after an hr so ran offshore a bit more to get away from everyone. Found a line at 17 miles and worked it south, got 4 more keepers and another 10 or so throw backs. Line died out and at 19 miles found a shitty line but lots of birds and bigger patches so fished for an hr and got our limit, a giant bar jacks probably 5 lbs and a 25 lb cuda along with another 5 throwbacks. Called it a day at 2 and hauled ass back to port but got caught in a nasty storm a mile out. Couldn’t see more the 25 ft in front of the boat. Good day overall.
