Recent satellite images showed the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower safely stationed in the Red Sea, amidst rumors that the Houthis destroyed the American warship in a missile strike.

By the first week of June, several social media outlets started sharing fake videos of the USS Eisenhower up in flames, claiming that the destruction was the result of a Houthi missile strike.
However, Chinese satellite images shared by the military information outlet Defence Blog showed the USS Eisenhower still deployed at the Red Sea, with the outlet noting that the pictures do not show any damage or any indication that the aircraft carrier was recently under attack.
"American aircraft carrier has been dealt an irreparable blow in the Red Sea by the Houthis (Ansar Allah). The aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower was struck in a precision strike by Dozen Anti Ship Ballistic missile! Which led major fire," the user wrote.
However, another user pointed out that the video actually showed USS Bonhome Richard, which caught fire during its deployment in San Diego back in 2020.
Another user posted a video of the "attack," showing several missiles strike the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, causing major explosions onboard. The post soon saw a reply from an open-source intelligence analyst who pointed out that the "footage" came from a video game called Arma III.
