I didn’t go. My buddy went down to Mexico Beach to fish with a couple of friends. Saturday didn’t look good at all. Wind blowing 30 mph with gusts even higher. They didn’t put boat in water till after 7 pm Weather had calmed more by then He said they went out around 30 mph. Didn’t say how far. I would guess 20-30 miles. They got 3 Red Snapper for their troubles. Don’t think they got back to dock till around 12 midnight. Probably weren’t many fishing yesterday. Weather too rough. They were fishing out of a TwinVee cat boat about 30 ft I believe

Short seasons get even shorter when you get bad weather.

I'm sure that cat handled it but it's rough on the knees.

I think when the fish taker group finds out about those 3 snappers. The total allowable catch for recreational Red snapper will be cut in half. Reminds me when had the oil spill and three hurricanes and gas was really high. They said recreational fishing had caught way too many
