I figure it is the decision of the local taxpayers. They are the ones paying for it. What Jacksonville, Miami, Atlanta, or any other city wants to do is up to their citizens. Some are bad deals, some are not. Ain't my worry.

The Battery north of Atlanta has turned out well. (Braves) Gave a big needed shot to the Cumberland area and has created numerous hotels, apartments, condos, bars, restaurants and corporate headquarters.
That said, I wasn't in favor but it turned out well.

First responders, and for that matter all public servants should be rewarded for their service. As for stadiums I still believe that these billionaire owners can certainly afford to build their own stadiums. When they sell the team do they pay the locals for the value accrued by their stadium improvements?
