will be in the keys late December and wondering what is better fishing pelagic or reef for snapper and grouper . thinking about doing a charter 1 day and just fishing for snapper the rest on own little boat .

Gotta watch the wind. Seriously. Hard to predict. My suggestion is stay inside the reef, the weather, is, or can get nasty in the winter. Stay with your instincts. |

December is the best month for reef fishing imo. Grouper are thick and the season is still open. Muttons and kings are plentiful too.
