Because if there was, we wouldn't be tariffing inexpensive EVs now would we? We would be desperate to get people in to electric cars at any cost? Isn't that the pitch. It's an existential crisis...we must ruin our economy to achieve carbon neutrality. Accept it's all a big lie. We would do whatever it takes.
