It doesn't mean what you think it means. The judge did not say postponed indefinitely, The judge simply has not set a date waiting on certain appeals and hearings to play out.
It is good news for Trump since it is unlikely he will be convicted before November. Would be funny if he wins and then gets convicted before January 20th.
It's old news, everyone knew this decision was coming.

Its media hype and general public ignorance as to how the system works. There’s no obligation to Justice to have him tried before the election. A push to try him before the election is nothing but political. The November election should be irrelevant to when the trials happen. |

The problem is, if Trump can delay the federal trials until after January 20th and he wins reelection, in effect justice will be denied since he can end all the federal charges the day is he sworn in. Appoint a new Attorney General, fire Smith, and the issue dies. His only problem then will be the state cases and the way the prosecutors in Georgia and New York are handling things, they won't be an issue. |
