I recently picked up a reasonably good galvanized trailer at a decent price. Along with it came a 28 year old 17' Tracker Bass Boat that was a good candidate for the county landfill. But it did have a title, so I might make something out of it. Already gone are the console, the decks, and all the nasty carpeting that covered everything. Plans are to completely gut it and have it mostly all open with just a forward raised deck with storage underneath, and a bench seat in the rear for tiller steering.
Progress is slow, with a lot of cutting to go.I'll add some pics as I go along.
07 July update .... Still cutting away the "bass boat" interior.

Keep us updated with your progress...its very cool.
Do you have a motor?

Saltydog that Tracker is a very lucky vessel! She has more float time ahead of her. Nice!

January 7 update
I can't lift motors like I used to, I guess they're heavier these days. So I had to use a chain hoist on one of my oak trees in order to transfer the 30 horse Suzuki over to the aluminum Manatee gigging boat.
Lowered it onto the transom and partially held in place with its screw clamps
Got it wired up and thru bolted to the transom. It runs fine in the bait tank!
Getting closer to sea trials. The trailer needs new LED lights and the guide on poles attached. The lights on it now were just magnetic ones that I used to get it home from Spring Hill.

Very nice looking boat. Great job.
I know what you mean about stuff getting heavier as you get older.
