Work to be done on the farm comes first. Then it was too far to drive back to town for some ball game. That was daddy's thoughts on the matter. I did not play.

Just got back into the city league softball thing. Was hoping I could take it easy and play catcher or pitcher. Didn’t pan out, I’m running my ass off in center. It’s a lot of fun competing and being on a team again.

Never played baseball. Way to busy killing fish, and then bambi as I got older. I played men's softball for a lot of years.

At some point, I have played every position in baseball but my home was on the mound. My vacation home was 3rd base. Played to college. Never had a true coach to help me. Instead they would pitch me 3 full games a week in high school. I didn't know any better, but eventually my arm gave out.
Played O line mostly in football. Some LB in high school. Played center in college for a minute, until the rest of my body gave out.
Competed against and played alongside several NFL guys along the way. Seldom even watch sports any more. I guess I put the foolish desires of my youth behind me when it all ended.

Pitcher, and pretty successful till I burned my shoulder out. Then moved to second base. Moved to a new school and dropped baseball to take up tennis, nicer guys and a future scholarship potential.

Played tea ball. Then didn't play anything else till 8th grade and started playing football. Guard, tackle, tight end, DT and DE. JR yr lost our running back and I got moved to fullback and middle linebacker. 300lbs freakin fullback. That couch was a plum God. Sr year reunited with my old coach at a different school. Went back to OG and DT and DE where I belonged. Was recruited mostly as a OG by everyone except Southern Miss who saw me in their scheme a perfect DE/DT. Which is what I wanted to play Nyway. But ended up at Troy
Played Basketball mainly to stay in shape. Center. How I never had a heart attack is beyond me

Never played any ball. I was a swimmer, breaststroke was my specialty, then tried springboard diving

I played a little bit of everything coming up. Little league I played mostly 3rd base and the outfield. My career ended in high school when I couldn’t figure out how to hit the off speed stuff. Played football in HS, was a defensive end, made it to sectionals as a senior. Played basketball until my junior year, but football took over. But I always loved to hunt and fish more than any of the sports.

We only played baseball in my neighborhood in South Fla till about 16 when we discovered HS football. Played baseball through American Legion. Lasted till a pro prospect thru me a 90+ mph heater that I could barely see. Not going to even mention his curve. Always liked fishing the best.
