Having lived through the 60s, these demonstrations bother me. It gives cover to professional agitators to cause problem. I wonder what proportion of the "demonstrators" are students

Students should be allowed to legally demonstrate as they wish. Campuses should be allowed to keep non students and non faculty off their campuses, and boot them if they trespass.
If they want to sit on a lawn the cops should chill out. Cross the line, and break the law, pay the price.

The only thing the campus rioters have in common with the J6 insurrectionists is that they were rioting and destroying public property. One group is disrupting college campuses, and the other was rioting to subvert a presidential election. They all deserve to rot in prison for a good while. Any comparison to the Vietnam War riots is a travesty.

The overwhelming majority of protesters appear legit, students including lots of Israelis who see Netanyahu as the war criminal he is. Killing 33,000 mostly women and kids, destroying hospitals and entire neighborhoods is not a proportional response to the hamas terrorist incursion.
The protesters are peaceful and should not be arrested, they should be allowed to stay and protest.
The anti pro Palestinian protesters are the violent ones, likely magaa. The speaker johnson demanding the protesters arrest is out of line.

The STUDENTS that are doing the sit in/ glamping in the court yards should be allowed to protest PEACEFULLY the ones that have broken in to the buildings should be removed and prosecuted

Anyone who is not an actual student - arrest em.
Anyone damaging property - arrest em, kick em out of school, deport them if from a foreign country on a visa.
Funny how they are wearing masks to hide their identity. Was watching this on TV w dad last night and girl running around with mask down sees TV camera and up goes the mask.
Seems simple to me.
This is a political movement of maybe a couple thousand folks and the media is trying to spin it out to represent the entire population. All I get out of it is that they just want some excitement in their life. What did you do today? Oh, we went to the political rally, pushed a couple of cops, and got tear gassed! It was awesome. I'm gonna tell my children AND grandchildren.
Could never figure why Jews vote Democrat most of the time - seems pretty stupid. Only white folks are racist and only Jews are outside the "ethnic" covering for racism.

If another country (or org) came in here and slaughtered a few neighborhoods (ie Japan at Pearl Harbor) under my watch, there would be no such thing as proportional response. And, I would not care what their "justifications" were for attacking YOUR neighborhoods, slaughtering YOUR family, in MY country.

. Any comparison to the Vietnam War riots is a travesty. The only riots concerning the Vietnam War were always started by the cops. When we were protesting we were also having sex in the tents. Lots of sex. We were seeing if the theory of "having lots of sex" would end the war. It was a tough job but we were up to it. I don't think these students know how to have fun ...  |

The good ole USA is slowly adopting a lot of the other nations philosophies and culture. Yep we’re a melting pot or salad bowl, but why come over here with all your baggage and rhetoric and try to convert the land of the free into the home of the disruptive and destructive.
Used to be immigrants would mimic the USA and assimilate, now they seem want us to be like the terrible country they came here to seek amnesty from.
A good friend that legally immigrated from Cuba, told me the illegal immigrants will destroy this great country.
