Why do you think we are letting in more illegals. Somebodies got to pay y’all’s social security. Well that's not going to happen. The people we're importing en mass aren't likely to contribute more than they receive in benefits. I thought AI and automation made "guaranteed basic income" a necessity in the near future for a large swath of low skilled, low education workers. And the millions of new illegal immigrants mostly won't show up for their asylum hearings, much less actually receive asylum, so they won't be able to participate in our economy except under the table. But they will crank out newborn American citizens on whose behalf 20 million existing illegals are already collecting plenty of benefits. We're dramatically expanding the dependent class, and the only contribution they'll make is to grow our economy a little bit by being consumers. They're basically a huge drag on the economy, but if they ever get amnesty they will vote for whoever poses as the most generous Santa Claus. So that's the end game.
