Straightened out (actually skewed) the Z Drives on my boat this am with a tech from Germany so it doesn't crab. Did a job...
Made BLTs for appetizers, did the obligatory all American hot dog and hamburgers for lunch, and soon serving the pernil de cerdo that I started at midnight.
Absolute decadent glory and reward for still being free.

Whether I’m cooking a whole pig or just a ham or picnic the crispy skin is the dealbreaker in my house.

Took one of the fish we caught yesterday ( speckled trout ).....scaled, gutted and gilled him and let him......actually a "her" as there was roe, which the barn cats loved......sit for a couple of hours in the frig with soy, honey, Worcestershire and a little olive oil. Did the same with figs from the yard, wild blueberries that Louann picked this afternoon and a onion. Odd thing....how many blueberries are still out there to be picked in the woods. Anyway......put it all on a low smoky fire while a Lord Chesterfield Ale was consumed.....

It had been awhile since we had it and the wife asked for Picadillo for dinner tonight. Went well with some freshly baked French Bread from Detwillers.

Filets on the Weber, fresh sweet corn and the best maters of the year. So damn goodyou could eat them like an apple.
