I grilled some dry rubbed pork tenderloins and my wife made mashed potatoes and roasted broccoli. Nobody complained.

Made my version of Poutine last night. Chopped shaved ribeye, sauteed onions, mushrooms and garlic mixed in the beef gravy with garlic cheese curds. Tonight is going to be mussels Josephine, ahi tuna with a heart of palm salad. Tomorrow I'm making Oysters Rockefeller and Minorcan Chowder. Sunday is a pot roast in the slow cooker ($34.00 roast... yikes....and we aint talking standing rib) and veggies. Monday is leftovers. Oh...and I just made fresh pesto in the processor with pine nuts and fresh basil.

He had to make up for those beets the other day😉 Hey, I love beets. When I was working and didn't have time for a formal lunch, I would run into Publix and buy a jar of pickled beets for my lunch. Pour out the liquid and eat the beets.

I like the Aunt Nellie's pickled beets...my favorite is a good beet salad with a combination of red and golden beets...a good citrus vinaigrette with Gorgonzola cheese crumbles.

I like the Aunt Nellie's pickled beets...my favorite is a good beet salad with a combination of red and golden beets...a good citrus vinaigrette with Gorgonzola cheese crumbles. The golden beets w/greens is what I added to our chowder last week. They were an excellent addition and didn’t turn my soup PINK.

Just finished making a greek pasta/chicken salad. Like 3or4 # worth. I like to give it an overnight rest. After a 2 hour grocery run and 1 1/2hours throwing that together I’ll probably have a sandwich and a bowl of cereal tonight… I’m just tired.
