Sure, they screwed themselves right in to being the fifth biggest economy on the planet. One that many shit hole red states suck their contributions dry off the federal teat. The balance sheet looks like shit.

At least if they get what they are asking. It would be interesting to know what the foreclosure rates are.

“CRICKETS” ? The area they are writing about is NOT Chicago. It is a very nice corridor (or nice corridors)of development west and northwest of the City of Chicago by 20-50 miles approximately. Chicago is DEAD. The once famous “Magnificent Mile” has boarded up stores. All of the abandonment of Chicago is due to the Liberal Democrats running the city and the insane crime rates. I am far from a wallflower but I don’t go into Chicago any more than I have to. I would never go there for a concert or sporting event. They like to use the terminology “Chicagoland” to try to enhance the reputation of that cesspool. It only fools people who are not familiar with the area. Pretty much everything between 294 and Lake Michigan is a slum now. You’re right, it looks like businesses have moved way west like Aurora and Elgin.

Only Wacko’s belief that what California was is what it will continue to be. Everyone with a brain cell is leaving California as quickly as they can. No one can afford to live there. They have taxed their state out of business. 25 years ago I witnessed people leaving the state because of economic problems. I had San Francisco refugees playing on our pool team. They related in detail the problems of California. Now it make national news as famous people move themselves and their businesses out of California. The slow slide has more than started. It will be interesting to see how they pay the bills after more and more money leaves the state. Problem is that californy folks vote californy way. They move to red state and make it blue. texas and montana have entered the chat.

A quick search found that Chicago or IL was in the top 10 for companys coming in But it was top 5 for bolting. www.cbre.com/insights/viewpoints/the-shifting-landscape-of-headquarters-relocations-trends-and-outlook
