Man that did it. I’m headed to KFC. Extra crispy. Not the best. It fast and easy. I just have to quit looking at food threads. 😋 I guess you don’t have a Krispy Krunchy chicken place near you. They are generally in gas stations, but not always. Much better than KFC in my opinion.

No but some of the stations on the road definitely have great chicken. One in particular when we make our final turn south on our way down. I can’t think of the name of the place but we always stop there.

Drumettes for me. Medium buffalo, naked, slightly crispy, fresh. Cup of hot Buffalo sauce on the side for dipping. Bleu cheese. Celery Same as I order. I don't say slightly crispy, I tell the cook well done.

I seldom eat fried chicken anymore but when I do I go to Krispy Krunchy.

We should have another WC wing gathering. Where? Last one I recall was at hooters. That was some time ago. Lots of new wing joints now.

Decades ago I worked as a chef (cook) for a guy who owned a restaurant in St Pete Beach, Mulligans. He was from Buffalo and brought the recipe for the wings. We sold those things by the truckload. Even to this day there ia no better wing than Buffalo. Personally, I prefer the wing and not the drumette. Was the sauce thin or thick? Syrupy? Not thin but closer towards thick. Syrupy? Well, that's subjective IMHO.

Well I just got 2 bucket of hot wings and 12 pieces of chicken from Jewel. They are pretty darn good.
Jewel is owned by Albertsons. I believe they own some chains in the South also.
The Mrs wanted these hot wings. I actually forgot how good they were. Haven’t had them in years.

No. The places we stop are clean and real American owned. But I know what you are talking about. I walk out when I see the foreign ownership. FYI most Dunkin’ Donuts are owned by foreign people now.

The Trick is to just lick the Dumpster at the Chicken place first. Gives the Antibodies time to build up in your system..

Born in America sir.
I can eat and purchase food anywhere I want.
If I have doubts about the cleanliness of a food establishment I don’t go there.
Unfortunately I am of the belief that some foreign born persons that have eateries do not adhere to proper hygiene standards.
That’s my opinion. If you don’t agree. Tough shit.

So to be a real American you must be born in America? That would mean 45 million people in America , who are American citizens are not true Americans in your mind.

They are naturalized Americans . Not natural born Americans.
There is a difference. Such as they can’t be elected President.

A lot of McDonald's are foreign owned. A lot of foreign money is invested in hotels, fast food, restaurants, and bars along with gas stations and liquor stores. Most will have american managers and you never know who the money guy is. Avoiding a place because you see a foreigner behind the counter is silly. I know a few Patels, you would be amazed at some of the places they own. The Patel that bought my store owns multiple restaurants, bars, liquor stores, and gas stations. He is just the money guy and others run them. Most are really nice folk who just want to live the American dream just like the rest of us. Just an FYI

I know and have worked with and for some persons with the surname Patel. Actually developing hotels. I consider them my friends
This isn’t a discrimination issue. I simply don’t trust certain groups of people to keep their businesses running with the degree of cleanliness that I expect
Hint: I have also volunteered and served as an inspector for several municipalities.
This is my choice period. I have been food poisoned several times and I do everything I can to avoid it from happening again.

I think I was blessed with good genes.
Also I have been taking 2 full sized aspirin every day for about 37 years now I really think they help a person. I remember an interview on television years ago. They were talking to the oldest man in the world. He was around 110. When asked what was his secret he said he was taking 10 “annacin” a day his entire life. Who knows?🤷♂️
