I haven't been out in three weeks, but the few reports I'm getting are some YT on the reef, some blackfins in the afternoon, and the muttons have lockjaw. Ballyhoo have been hard to find on the reef too. I didn't see a one on my last two trips.

Ballyhoo have been hard to find on the reef too. I didn't see a one on my last two trips. Saturday I was fishing in about 40 feet, 1/2 mile north of Spiegel Grove, nothing notable was caught, but I had a ton of blue runners in my slick and not a single ballyhoo. More blue runners than I can remember seeing.

I would have hooked a few of them runners up with a stinger rig and bumped them out to the deep edge of the reef for some kings if nothing else was going on.

I couldn't get any of them to bite, tried small pieces of shrimp, big pieces of shrimp, chunk of flying fish, chunk of pinfish. All they seemed to eat was tiny bits of the chum. i didn't have a sabiki rig.... Next time...
