Weird to say the least but a result of the leftist policies embraced by the City of New York.

Weird to say the least but a result of the leftist policies embraced by the City of New York. What about Chicago?

It’s not as bad in Chicago as New York but it’s still bad. Chicago is running out of money and they are constantly trying to find ways to tax the suburbs to balance their budgets.
I don’t even go into the city if I don’t have to. Finally I am a Southsider. It’s almost like there are two different nationalities of people in the Chicagoland region.
You would consider those on the north side snooty and “better than others” type people and the south side people are just plain old white collar average working stiffs that don’t put on airs.
Two different worlds really.
Then there is the inner city. That’s where people try to freeload through life and also where all the violence occurs. I’m no shrinking violet but I don’t like going into those neighborhoods.

Surprise, surprise. You're out of touch.
Perhaps you should get out more:
Which S. Chicago neighborhood did you say you lived in again?

Sir. I get out plenty. The cluster of homicides towards the lower middle of the map is the area where I was born. Englewood is in there. Englewood is the most dangerous neighborhood in the city. When I was a child there was no crime.
Englewood was at one time a suburb of Chicago. My great grandfather came to “Englewood Illinois” from the Netherlands around 1900. I was fortunate enough to locate his records on the Ellis Island records. To immigrate (legally) at that time he had to have a sponsor, a job lined up, (he had a job at the Pullman Car Company), a residence and money in his pocket. That is the way it should be now.
The other cluster of homicides farther to the north and the west is the “WestSide” that is another very dangerous area of the city.
I live just above where it says “homicide”. Outside of the city. No homicides there really. Only three that I can remember in 50 years. Two of them were domestic problems.

Sox. All my life. When I was 9 years old I was given Jim Landis’ hat. I wore it until it fell apart.
