The FWC is already certain and knows exactly what it will be doing regarding any new proposed regulations. They are just giving the hunters the illusion that their opinion actually counts for something. The game is rigged and their desired outcome has already been decided. all anybody has to do is look at picayune strand, a decent no quota needed for archery season. opening weekend is crowded, camp ground is overflowing but after opening weekend it slows way down, during the week place is just about empty when you consider its size. fwc screwed hundreds of hunters by making it quota only, how the hell can any of you public land hunters support fwc when all they do is restrict and limit hunting opportunities on public land,, oh but they added some summertime hog hunts, well thats great now every weirdo with a AR can walk around the woods, no hunting license needed,no speaka english,no experience, thats awesome thanks fwc. plain and simple fwc is not a supporter or friend of public land hunters .

Personal experience with dog hunters in Virgina, West Virginia bear hunters and HERE on these forums (One person in particular) have motivated me to vote against anything Pro Dog Hunter. You say "one bad apple", but I don't see any push back against these "apples" in real life or on these forums. Screw em... say my name bitch, I demand it.

I've done a lot of dog hunting in my life and I've never met any of those rogue dog hunters. Every dog hunter I've had the pleasure to met was very respectful of the landowners around them as well as the other dog hunters hunting around them as well. I'm sure there are some shitty people floating around but can't see enough of them to justify giving all dog hunters a bad name.
I will also add all of my dog hunting experience has been on private land/leases with the exception of Apalachicola.

Im not gonna throw any hunters of any kind under the bus. Theres been good and bad in every group since the beginning of time. Theres bad ministers. Once all the "good" hunters get rid of the doggers, the airboaters, the buggy hunters, the reapers......it will become much easier to get rid of me and you....

Still watching 55 years of hunting with never a violation. Have a good working relationship with local and Tallahassee FWC. Volunteered several times at wounded warrior hunts and at the FWC youth camp in ONF. Whatchu got snake whisperer?

On a WMA I hunt, the guys against dog hunting are simply jealous. They like their method of sitting in a tree, running cameras. They get incensed when they see a hound on their camera. They think the dog hunters kill “their” deer they’ve watched and given a “special” name. The humorous thing is they don’t mind sitting in a tree and shooting that named deer if the dogs run him by. As most know I bow hunt, muzzle-load hunt, still hunt and dog hunt. One outstanding thing I see dog hunters do is bring all the kids on the hunt. Still hunters aka trophy hunters, spray down w scent killer, speak in whispers, use ozone treatment, sneak in like assassins and leave all the kiddos w mom at home.

i hunted twice on a wma that allowed dog hunting, 4 days total and i wish those dogs would have been closer, heard them everyday way off in the distance but never seen a dog or a deer. found a beagle at dinner island and a lab at corbett both friendly and glad to see me i put them both down since they where very dirty, no i turned them in at check station . if you go hunting where its legal to run dogs then complain about dogs ,,, well i will keep my opinion to myself.

I agree with pin, swamp, and meat above.
I have never had a problem with hunters running dogs where it's legal and generally tried using them to my own advantage.
The ONLY problem I have had with dogs while I'm hunting is always due to mongrels that escaped their nearby yards and were running wild without handlers. They were pets that basically got out and harassed the deer non stop, day and night, on our farm in SC.

I’ve seen both sides of the dog hunting debate. Several years back I was in a lease that bordered a dog club. Nice enough folks but they had no regards for property lines and didn’t really attempt to keep their dogs on their own piece. It was a regular thing to have them trespassing. Grew up with a friend who dog hunted extensively in FL, GA, and SC. Could not ask for a better group of folks. Very conscious of their dogs and where they were suppose to be. I accept an invite to hunt with their group every time. Listening to the dogs is very cool and a lot of fun.
