Man, you guys better be careful what you support in this survey. Once again, the terms "add" and "establish" are actually being used to reduce your access and hunting privileges in several instances. Make damn sure you cross reference these proposals with the current regs in the brochures or you may actually be supporting having to sit your ass on the couch more frequently in the future instead of hunting.
Some of the proposals are good, and actually increase opportunities but READ AND RESEARCH before you hit support. Not all is as simple and straightforward as it seems. I've warned about this kind of word trickery in the past, so beware.
Seems like a lot of proposed reductions in the NW zone, and I will be highly surprised if we are still allowed to even hunt in Big Cypress in 10 years.

Isn't it also amazing the restrictions that are even on the Survey itself.
You can't use the back button?
You cant re access the surey if you want to participate in another survey for another area..... If you originally clicked only one.
It's got BS written all over it... why can't it be just a cut n dry survey Well like Big Mak said, its persuasive. Written by survey experts to persuade you into a designed path THEY want you to walk slowly on.
Fk FWCC "staff" not the officer

General Comments: "The cost of non-residents turkey permits needs to be increased. Folks travel from all over to Florida to hunt Osceolas. Charge them accordingly to harvest our resources"
And I listed I was taking the Survey on behalf of an official organization: Florida Outdoors LLC | Floridaoutdoorforums.com

Agreed Meat. I feel (after reading the survey) like the dog hunters have been in the crosshairs for awhile and they are basically being forced to choose to devise their own compromises which will eventually phase themselves out at some point, or, they will be phased out sooner if the choice is left to others in power.
I hate to think/say this, but deer hunting with dogs will eventually find its intended destiny like fox hunting did. I hope I'm wrong, but I know I'm not.

My daughter went to do the Survey but guess what, one surey per ISP address....
Also, I did a quick glance at the factbook page for HuntFlorida I think in a years time they have posted 3 dead animal pics, one gator, few ducks, and a deer all very staged picture.
Our FWCC has been systematically diminishing Fl hunting for a while now... are a pen pushing group the the MYFWCC agenda.
They even wear some of the best advocates down by getting them involved with youth hunts so they cant bash them any longer. I een commented on another forum about how some of them defend FWC and say its not their fault(fwc) that all the spraying happens but when I asked how much money does FWC ask for in the budget all you get is crickets.

I will not speak, click, or write in favor of any more restrictions on dog hunters. They have enough on their plate…HOWEVER….
…let’s be honest about why dog hunters are often so ostracized. Many areas around north Florida have at least one outlaw dog hunting clan of 50 or so hunters (poachers) that purposely terrorize everyone and pillage everything else around them. They’ll dump their dogs on your lease, smirk and shrug their shoulders when you catch them, slit your tires when you aren’t looking, and burn your camp down if you offer resistance.
Now should the good dog hunters be punished because of the dirtbag dog hunters? No. But the dirtbags are the ones that are constantly putting themselves out there for all to see as the face of dog hunting.
When did crusade against dog hunters all start? When some of the Big Bend outlaw clans were burning down still hunter camps in Dixie and surrounding counties some years ago. The FWC told them to stand down, they said “make us,” so the FWC started putting the screws to dog hunters ever since. It was very personal. My understanding that such conversations that amounted to “mess around and find out” between the FWC in the field and the outlaw dog clans actually took place and the “make us” response went all the way up the chain to the policy makes in Tallahassee that took them up on the challenge.
All I can say is maybe dog hunters should have policed their own, if such a thing was possible? The ill will towards them is here to stay.
Nor does it help that dog hunting requires lots of acreage and that’s in short supplies these days.

The usual tin foil crew is out sharing their mostly uninformed opinions again, I see.🙄
I don’t doubt the accuracy of Bullfrog’s recounting of how the deer dogging community has arrived at the place it is currently at.
A few rotten potatoes will soon spoil the bunch, if not removed.
