Been using the same bottle of concentrate for a few years. The mix works not only on hunting gear but even on bug issues around the house. I add a couple drops of dish soap to each batch, it seems to help emulsify the oil, so I feel like the application is more uniform.

Meat I use permethrin for tick prevention. Spray my clothes and socks outside on a still day and let them dry. It will last through several washes. No-seums are a real pain when fishing and I usually cover up and use skin so soft. Maybe someone else can add some updated no-seum prevention.

I went to Ocala last weekend for a change of scenery..
Two weeks ago there were two trucks parked right in there..... I figured they were trying to scout him...
That is not a dumb deer though. He was hanging around in the same area last year.

Shhhh, that’s Johnnys secret buck!..🤫 Not mine.... I have one buck I consider mine... But I since I did not get drawn. I gave that intel and intel I have on a few others to a member here...
Funny thing about those close to the road bucks..... And yes most of my buck photos are taken close to the road....
At least four and probably five of the nice bucks I have posted this summer, I have photos of the same deer from last summer and some the summer before (but I cannot be sure on some of the 2021 deer because I was still taking photos with my cell phone in the summer of 2021)
Those close to the Road deer have a way of surviving.... I am mostly going with... people are idiots.

Too many people walk right on by those close to the road bucks thinking that if they aren't busting a gut hiking in at 0200 through 2 miles of cypress swamp and 8 inches of mud, after a 1 mile e bike ride, they aren't "hunting".
I don't know about you guys, but I'm just as satisfied (actually more) killing a deer 50 yds from my truck as I am killing one 2 miles deep. There's one thing I have learned over the years... there is no public hunting land that hasn't seen the footprints of a human and there's always someone out there who is willing and able to outwalk and outwork you. You show me a deer close to my truck and I'm your huckleberry. You guys go right ahead and kill yourselves for that hog or deer. That shit is no longer worth it to me.

gonna be 1 more guy parked at the cattle pens opening morning. one of my associates just picked up opening day in re draws. just kidding i go to the end of road 5 then walk out west, or is it road 11 then head north, wait a minute its trail 7 to the end then go south east and hunt behind where the biologist lives, oh man i cant remember i better call mr bandit. i will give away a spot, this guy moved to alabama so he dont care, for a many years there was always a guy who climbed a telephone pole just west of the check station yes a telephone pole and i used to crack jokes everytime i would see him sitting up there baking in the sun, then one year he stopped me in the dark and asked if i had any batteries his headlamp went dead, i gave him some and offered to help him track his buck, hour later we were dragging a nice 9 point. that was his 3rd buck off that pole in 4 years. this was over 10 years ago , we kept in touch and became friends. moral of the story theres no 1 great spot out there bucks could be anywhere and theres a lot less of them today. maybe across from the dove field on farm field road at one of the 2 gates yea thats where im going, bucks always cross there.

Them big bucks love hanging around check stations, camps, and random places you'd never expect them to be. They are going to go to the places with the least amount of pressure.

Look at the right rack on the second deer....

This was from a couple weeks ago. Been seeing ALOT of bucks out there with little to no brow tines. It’s a shame how that genetic trait has been passed all around in Florida. We’d have some real studs if they grew some brow tines Attachments:

Brow tines would add anywhere from 8-12" of score typically on a decent buck.

We’d have some real studs if they grew some brow tines There are plenty of single and double brow tine bucks in dinner.... The area does seem to have quite a few bucks missing brow tines..
But there is no shortage of brow tines out there....
These are some just in the last few weeks...
