![]() This forum is becoming as bad as the Florida Sportsman Forum. I keep hearing that everyone posts on social media, but I check over 40 social media sites and they all have crap. Either no one is posting, or no one is catching. I went out with my brother yesterday hoping to get a grouper before Jan 1. Trolled the reef 11 miles south, made 5 drifts on a ledge in 120'-150', dropped on two numbers in 300', then trolled 11 miles back on the reef. This was our only bite in all that effort. Saw at least 100 boats out there. Saw one boat catch a yellowtail.  |

I usually don't post trips but since you asked I went out Wednesday for a short trip. We got 9 Vermilions,a decent Lane and three Almacos. My nephew went offshore the same day and got a small but legal Sword but he said it was pretty nasty at the Sword grounds.

8# would be my guess. Nice day, but a lot of manatee grass made it tough. Spend all day clearing lines of all the grass.
