Yep the pics are great! Without trying to guess (GSP, Drathars, Griffons), what kind of dogs? Great multi-purpose hunters for sure!

The GSP is my buddies dog, we meet up a couple times a year to hunt them together.
The other is my Wirehaired Hungarian Vizsla, pretty rare dog in the US, but an excellent type of versatile hunting dog. But also an excellent house dog.

That’s a new breed for me. I’m familiar with the standard smooth coat Vizslas. Good looking pup! Thanks

WOW, great photos and awesome pups.
Are the dogs successful pointing snipe? My GSPs are 50/50....depending on wind, cover, etc.
What part of Florida are you in?

My crew tries to have at least one squirrel killing and cat fishing trip every fall. Camp 3 days middle of ANF on Ochlocknee river. Used to be a dozen or so of us now down to half that. The younger folks don't seem to care for places that don't have wifi. Let me know the dates and I'll come up with my son and join your crew. I'll even fry up those catfish for you fellers. Keep posting that up. Just crossed the panhandle from Lake City to the Florida border and was surprised how low all the rivers seemed to be. A late season squirrel 🐿️ trip sounds great if it ever cools off.

The GSP hasn't been on snipe, buts familiar with woodcock, quail and pheasants. My WHV is really good at pointing snipe and 90% of the time holds until released. You have to trust her, some points literally will be 30-40yds from the bird, she learned from bumping so many and remembered.

I had a Brittany that was great on quail and snipe. Some snipe he bumped and flushed trying to locate them. Dead snipe he’d point them dead. Sometimes they’d be right under his belly. He was a really great bird dog, but gone too soon.

My older GSP Bartram starting at 10 or so calmed down...at 12 he was pretty good with snipe...better with quail and dead on with pointing rabbits....and even pigs.
About 5 years ago we shot a 100 plus snipe, and since....maybe 10. Very dependent on water levels, migration, etc.

Believe it or not my dad took me hunting on Sugarloaf Key in the 60’s. We were after White Crowned Pigeons, Coons and Rabbit. That was before the lower keys were developed. Come to find out in my later years that those rabbits were some species that are now endangered and were named after a Hugh Hefner.

Key Deer were already protected then although they were living in the Sugarloaf pine forest.

If there were any quail, I would hunt quail.
Not into doves or snipe. Same for squirrel and rabbit.

There's quail around. But it's like hunting grouse in N Georgia, maybe a bit better than that.

Some of my fondest hunting memories are South Florida Glades Rabbit hunt. Dad and I camped at a Levee at the Conservation area border and area that what would become Rotenberger WMA. Back then hunting from the Levee was legal. My Dad would head one way down the Levee,I headed the other way. Marsh rabbits at the bottom of the Levee/vegetation edge. My Dad had a Mossberg bolt action shotgun. Birdshot,Buck and Slugs at ready.Rabbits cooked at campsite. Magnificent. Then later,Squirrel at Ocala National Forest.Ruger Single Six handgun. And dandy Black Creek float trips on Black Creek-the area became Jennings State Forest. Combo boating in a sleek canoe, hunt, shore luch and break. A few Wood Ducks taken. Dove- I have participated in Dove Field hunts however my preference is to walk the woods. Lots of walking...a few birds. Sometimes. As a hunt lease member I hunted small game during the small game season. Ha!....the squirrels that practically dance on your head while on deer stand can be illusive later. I developed a certain small game season squirrel tactic. Rather than sitting,I rambled, alert for squirrel movement in the distance, then approach and use binnoculars to identify Bushytail almost nearly hidden. Now focused on Osceola National Forest. The post General Hunt Season Small Game Season is wonderful. And Centerfire handgun at ready for Bonus Hog.

I enjoy squirrel hunting central fl wma’s I find them oddly delicious! Also it blows my mind they always taste like bbq no matter how I cook em. 😂 I’ve had the opportunity to bag a few coons but held back, I’ve been hesitant to eaten one. I’m thinking this year I’m gonna try one though!
