I took this photo last saturday morning on a WMA...
I have seen and or photographed that gator ( or another gator that size on that high canal bank for at least a couple of years.
Last Saturday, it was dead and upside down.
Gators don't just up and die.... If it was a bigger gator, it would be all torn up and would have probably been eaten.
I figure someone brained it and it flopped around but not enough to flip off that bank...
That is the fourth gator I have found within a mile of that spot in the last six months. All dead in what appears to be suspicious circumstances....

I would not be surprised if it was kids riding around drinking beer and fire hunting.

No ducks there.... But rumor has it a field goal kicker lost his accuracy at that very location.
