found a deer

   last tuesday around noon decided to go catch a redfish and a couple trout for dinner later in the week.  headed to my secret spot in everglades city, got off the alley and headed south on 29 went maybe 10 miles when i spotted buzzards on the west side of the road,  spotting a bunch of buzzards feeding on the side of the road is like christmas day to me,  of course im gonna turn around and see whats for lunch.   smallish tight racked 7 point,  buzzards been on him all day so no chance of any meat so i do what every guy should do,  whipped out the little case knife and got to cutting off his head. threw head in bed of truck and went fishing, wrecked the trout and got 1  21 inch black drum , no redfish but the drum is better to me anyway.  got home that night tied some paracord around the rack and tossed head into the water behind the house.   saturday afternoon was doing some yard work when i remembered i had a deer head in the water so pulled it up and couple of shakes and dunks skull was pretty clean, well clean enough to see the perfect what looks like a 22 hole in the middle of his skull,    it is gun season out there but dont think this deer went very far after taking a bullet straight thru the skull i think monday night some asshole shot him on the side of the road and left him .       guess it was a good thing i didnt get stopped with a deer head rolling around in the bed of truck.  new lesson,,  always inspect road kill
