View Attachment. I bought a griddle top for my camp chef one burner. Although it came preseasoned I spent some time adding additional layers of crisco to build up the base. I never griddled before so it will be a learning process. I like to make pancakes but my wife don't eat them. I end up making 3-4 for myself and load them up with butter and syrup. I know they are bad for you. Sure are good with some coffee though.

Skirt(1x10) around the bottom of the house rotted after 16 years. Ripped it out, replaced. Started pressure washing the siding. I’ll paint as time permits.

Filleted some fish, cut the lawn, braced up the orange tree, ate lunch, took a nap, went to the pool for happy hour, made snapper reubens for dinner, watched some Black Sails on Netflix while smoking a bowl. Crashed.

Well today I am sanding down the first primer coat on the interior of the body waiting on more primer. Yesterday I decided to sand the grill and it is a piece of junk. Lots of rusted areas. I debated trying to fix it, but ordered a new one for $150.

Boat shopping with my youngest kid. Went to Gainesville to meet w/ bank then to Ocala to haggle on the boat he wants. All the way in Keystone now, waiting to load furniture that my wife is selling for my momma. Just got roped into delivering some of it.🤬 Then I will drive back home and finally put my feet up. I need a beer.

This will be the first that he has to actually pay for. Poor kid, say a prayer for him LOL

Cleaned the pool filter and added chemicals then mowed the lawn, fixed a sprinkler head and then split a Snowy grouper head for boiled fish and grits. Had to do all that early before it got too hot. Took a shower and then a nap. Woke up and read a few chapters from a book. Getting ready to pour a bourbon and have a cigar.

One of them was set up just as if he would have custom ordered(which takes months). He couldn’t resist. Negotiated $ a little and also got them to drop it on to a much nicer aluminum trailer for him. He is happy. It’s a 18/54 gator tail mod V with a 40. Camo/seadeck/ 2 rod and gun boxes. Those boys are on the lakes around here 5 nights a week. He works his ass off and does pretty good for an 18 yo. I’m most excited about the abundance of frog legs in my future.

Mowed the lawn, straightened up my catch all driveway, went to the pool for happy hour, ate at Square Grouper down in Islamorada (great food and service - cocktails on another level), went to The Green Turtle for a comedy club show and staggered home.

Worked on a old john deer mower. I bought it used, to have as a backup. Got a few years out of it, here and there. I just spent all morning putting a new battery, solenoid ,oil and cleaning it up. Engine is purring. Then I got to the drive belt( which was shot).Worked thru it until I realized that pulling the entire steering column is required. F john deer, I don’t have time for that. It’s a belt for god sakes.

Finished the second coat of etching primer and should be ready to spray the bed liner coating on the interior of the Jeep tub. Also sanded and painted the seat frames and dash. Got to go sand the dash more and put on a second coat of paint.

Checked on how much the timber crew managed to finish up yesterday and while at it hit a good section of road with herbicide for invasive species ( Climbing Fern ). While down there pulled 4 traps we'd sent yesterday in spots that still have water that we'd set yesterday. Brown Hoplows.....a flyer.....bunch of swamp sunfish, couple of pirate perch, a darter ( At least that's what I think it was. ) and three banded water snakes.
The smaller banded got to come home, where it'll stay for a while as part of the things we use for outreach.
Then.......spent a good 5 hours with low pressure herbicide sprayers wandering into stands we'd burned treating gums, palmetto and other things.
Smelled like a old goat when it was all over......

The trees guys will be back tomorrow to remove one tree of ours and cut some big limbs off another. I could go solar now with the amount of sun the roof will get. I went ahead and bought a water pump for the jeep and will install it and a thermostat tomorrow. Could change the oils in the front and rear axles and transmission if there is time too.
