Solo trip this morning, buddy bailed but I heard there were some decent fish. Hit the cut at 830 and headed east. A boat was working a small line in 700 south so I took it north for 20 mins. 1 short strike and it started to break up so headed east. In 950 about 10 miles out found a beautiful color change and some weeds and worked it south. Caught 9 keepers, biggest 12 lbs but didn’t have to measure a fish. Lots of short strike. Them with my last ballyhoo which was maybe 5 inches long on a small pink and purple Fathom finally got the right bite. Fought him for 15 minutes and sunk the gaff in a 23.10lb bull. My best fish of the year, which is sad but I’ll take what I can get. Called it at 230 and headed west

Nice job! I heard from a friend of mine yesterday. He went off to the 52-51 line area off Miami and caught his two man limit of phins. Didn’t have to measure any but none were larger than 8lbs
