Let us begin. Your favorite lure(s) and why? For an all purpose and an all around good starting point I favor an epoxy minnow. It works well in a gusting head wind and rides true in rough waters. It gives me the advantage of being in the water longer or even better, work the strike zone.

MirrOdine , good cast ability and just about anything will take a swipe at it.

I like white bucktail jigs on points and where the bottom is sandy or hard. Casting topwater is Zaraspook or a Skitterwalk. I always keep a Johnson Gold Spoon for toss and reel. SIDEBAR: Years ago Yosuri sold a bass lure (two sizes) that worked like a Zara and we caught more reds and snook than you could imagine. It became our favorite secret weapon. Yosuri stopped making them, so we scoured the tackle shops and bought everyone we found. We still have a few new ones we treasure. I may try to build a mold to make a few…

Another vote for white bucktail and spoon.
The hard plastics might work, never really been my thing though as I hate treble hooks and have never really had much success tossing them anyway.

2oz-3oz bucktail jig in the passes at night in the summer for monster snook.

The kid from the tackle shop can’t catch a game fish for nothing.

This is what I saw.The kid doesn’t know any better. We never told him. Adults baited every hook. The cop busted me over the head while I was pushing and now I have bad migraines and he lets me do it. He doesn’t need a fishing rod. He needs a tooth brush.

The tip of the Dania pier smells like Yolanda’s wet Pooxxyy.

I fished it. A small cuda. The biggest hound fish on the beach. Swam some nice baits for a considerate amount of time. Searching for big kings and cudas. The AJ was released.

What are you using for bait? Apple! You’re not supposed to use Apple. Your supposed to use worm. The worm’s inside the Apple. See you tomorrow.
