My wife’s company is also trying to get everyone to get back in the office. They were 2 days a week until March or so when they went to 3 days in the office. She’s upper management so she can go in when she wants but it’s usually 4-5 days. She will be hiring a few new folks if the COO goes back to 5 days in the office as several in her department will quit instead.

My son worked remotely and was hired on zoom for a Cali company. Made Cali money living in ga. Moved out there in 2021. Cali still in lock down. Worked a year remotely maybe 3 office visits. Did his work and extra. When letter that rent was going up $400 a month, started looking at new locations. After meeting with hr and bosses, yep, you can move out of state. Moved to Portland, yea I know, worked another year and now works for Daimler. Goes to office 3 or 4 days a week. He traveled a lot at previous job. Last year went Germany 4,this year, twice. If you get your work done, no reason to sit in a cube. Probably 90% of cube people don’t get work done in office. But a lot of ass gets kissed and cock taken care of.

YEA , What fun is it sitting at home with no Office tang to hit on. Give me a Desk and Babes in the Office and I'm Employee of the Month.

There's two kinds of employees. Those who need constant supervision, and those who are self starters. I transitioned my business to remote access in 2011 and never looked back. A lot of positives: Work at any hour of day or night. Lunch or coffee doesn't detract from one's work day. No cold callers or tire kickers taking up valuable time. The comfort of being casual when not zooming with anyone. I didn't care when or how my people worked as long as their timeline was on task. Worked for me and my employees. Of course some couldn't handle the freedom and they were easily identified and gone. Bottom line for me was getting the job done in a timely manner. Didn't hurt that my business easily lent itself to remote work as everything was accomplished through email or phone calls.
