Tick bites and the ivy.
Fortunately for me, they don’t ever itch that bad unless they’re rubbed on. And of course w the tick I always worry about the lymes.

Tecnu...............even after the ivy starts it seems to have a positive effect.
And do wash whatever clothes you had on as even once the oil in the ivy is dry on material once it hits skin.....it ain't your friend.

I worked for Lamar sign co when I was young. I was on the maintenance crew. I would keep poison ivy. It would eat me up. I hated it the itching and the oozing. Poison ivy loves to grow around billboard signs.

I waded out to an island in a river when I was about 14yo. I was fishing a little spot that held some good fish.
I sat in the poison ivy. Must have sat in it for a while. I never had it like that before. The ouze took a month to stop. Tried every medication that was available at the time. Nothing helped. From my waist to the back of my knees I was one blister.
I don’t wish that on anyone

I get it real bad, used to fish a reservoir that was covered in it. Never had an effect. But one day it got me. Walking oozing blister. Old dude said go home, get a clean white wash cloth and crank the cold water in the shower. Then scrub those blisters like you were sanding Cads bondo. Then pour peroxide on it.
Probably not what the doctor would tell you to do but that’s how I handle it now.

Had a guy rub some on my arm while on a friend trip to Everglades National park back in high school. I chased his ass all over the woods and Neve caught him. Monday morning go to school fine and dandy, he walks up his eyes are swollen and has sores all over both arms. Karma.

I'm not allergic to poison ivy, rarely get ticks and I'm in the woods a good bit.
Just lucky I guess.

If you're getting in poison oak/ivy make sure you scrub down with gojo or any mechanics soap asap. It will typically wipe it out before it starts

Camphor is good for poison ivy. Vicks Vaporub can help.

Some guys look for arrowheads and deer sheds in the woods, I’m looking for poison ivy and oak.

Camphor is good for poison ivy. Vicks Vaporub can help. Sure does. Get Vicks on your nuts and you'll forget all about your PI. I used to get PI a lot when we were living in Asheville. We had it all through our woods and on the mountain. I was on a first name basis with the local medical staff. Ticks? None, but when in PA I had more than my share though none caused any issues.

Vicks on your junk is probably bad
The worst thing I ever had happen was when I was done playing football once I was rubbing some Deep Heat on my shoulder while sitting in a hot bathtub.
Whoops. Oh my goodness. I thought I was going to die
