I stand corrected, charged with DUI, plead guilty to reckless driving. He was doing 96 in a 55 and blew a .126. But go ahead and make excuses for this peach! I’m not making excuses. He got drunk and had the balls to do almost 100MPH. Took his punishment and did his best to try and hide it while running for office. Seems the citizens of Minnesota have embraced him. Now it’s up to the American people. Oh, and nobody is voting for the VP so almost all of this is not relevant.

I can forgive a DUI. I can't forgive a lying draft dodger, someone who unnecessarily denigrates veterans and their achievements. Someone who incessantly lies and who wants to take American to a despotic type of government. Someone who is inherently dishonest and openly brags about it. Someone who idly sat by while a group of his closest friends mobbed the Capitol of my country, interrupted a session of congress and tried stop the peaceful transfer of power that is at the base of our government. Did he do some good things while in office? Yes he did. I voted for him 3 times. Not again. I do not trust him. I do not trust the fawning sycophants he has surrounded himself with and I think (just as I thought about Biden) he is too old. I dislike Vance as a VP just as much as I disliked Harris as the VP. I will write in the name of the Republican I believe is the best choice. If other people do so then we'll get the attention of other disgruntled Republicans and hopefully make some changes in our party. Voted for him 3 times. Freudian slip? No

Honest question for you Ferris since you seem sincere about the military. Did Trump do more to fix the V.A. than Obama and Biden?

Who can even remember who signed the PACT Act and what that does for veterans, and the VA?

Honest question for you Ferris since you seem sincere about the military. Did Trump do more to fix the V.A. than Obama and Biden? They all did some good. Obama signed the Veterans' Access to Care through Choice, Accountability, and Transparency Act of 2014. Gave veteran's access to Community Care for travel, reasonable appt. times, etc. Trump signed the Veterans Choice Program Extension and Improvement Act which expanded the care provided under Obama's bill. It was welcomed and a good thing. Biden signed the PACT act which expanded presumptive care for those exposed to hazardous conditions in the middle east and expanded presumptive Agent Orange care for Vietnam era veterans. IMO, the Obama deal gave veterans a lot. Community care is huge and long lines waiting for care and appts. dwindled. Trump kind of rode Obama's coattails to a certain degree but what he signed was welcomed and necessary. Biden's Pact Act was big as it expanded a lot of care eligibility for middle east veterans that simply didn't exist prior. I believe the Pact act was every bit as important for the middle east veterans as was the first recognition of Agent Orange care for Vietnam vets. From my perspective as a Nam guy, Obama's bill was the biggest. It gave us access to the outside medical world. Instead of waiting months and months for an appt, we were able to go outside if the VA couldn't get an appt in 24 days, mileage was considered. The Trump bill was appreciated but the wheels were already in motion. Biden's bill IMO was more important to the middle east guys as it gave presumptive care. We Nam guys appreciated the fact it expanded presumptive diagnosis for Agent Orange and, for the first time, included exposure to Agent Orange in Guam, the Philippine's, Thailand and other facilities providing support to the guys in Nam. Other vets may have a different view and I respect that. It's a topic of discussion at the Legion late at night when everybody is loosened up and open about stuff.

This is the version Jones is referencing. It fits the far right very well. In the years after [9/11], I had the privilege of serving in this state's national guard. I stood one night in the dark of night on the tarmac at Bagram Air Base in Iraq and watched a military ramp ceremony–a soldier's body being loaded onto a plane to be returned home. And if you've seen it, you don't leave the same."In the actual speech however, Walz's mention of the National Guard is separated from his mention of Bagram, and it is raised in the context of his not having given the ultimate sacrifice, saying that he was always able to return home to his daughter, unlike two mothers who lost their sons in combat who spoke before him. " In the years that happened after [9/11], I had the privilege of serving in this state's National Guard. And when I left, I had a 2-year-old. When I came home, I had a 3-year-old.
But as I listened to [Jill Stephenson and Mariah Jacobsen, gold star mothers who spoke before Walz] … the guilt. … I came home and my daughter went on. And when you're 2 and 3, she knew no difference. That's not true for some. They can't do that.
And over the preceding [sic] years of watching us and as our nation changed, and as our political systems became more difficult for all of us to understand, I stood one night in the dark of night on the tarmac at Bagram and watched a military ramp ceremony. And if you've seen it, which these folks many have, unfortunately, you don't leave the same.
Walz has, in fact, traveled to Bagram Airfield and did witness a military ramp ceremony — in his capacity as a U.S. congressman. On Jan. 9, 2008, as part of a nine-day tour of the Middle East, Walz stayed overnight at Bagram Airfield and participated in a fallen comrade ceremony, according to a news release.

Go ahead and try to prove Joey a liar. Joey was a hero to you a few posts ago. Now you say he is just a right-wing commentator. You are coming of a little sad today. Have you had a DUI? Is that why you are so easy to forgive him? I was almost killed by a drunk driver. Some parts of me will never be right because of it. Sorry if I am a little slow to forgive this piece of shit! That's your right to dislike a person who got a DUI, and in light of the circumstances, I certainly understand your feelings. Joey is just a right wing commentator in his present life. I paid respect to what he has done in his military career and still do. If you could produce this "quote" it would certainly clarify some things. You have become rather insulting as it seems you can not produce the quote and feel backed into a corner. Insinuating I got a DUI is classic deflection. If it makes you feel better, I have never received a DUI. Go find another fork in the road to take us down. Have a nice day.

I just asked a question. If your offended. Sorry. I told you it was stated on the 5. It will be available tomorrow, I am sure. My problem is with crappy so called Republicans that fight the Republican candidate at every turn. I put you and Cad in this box. Like I stated earlier I did not like Romney and could not stand McCain. I still supported them because they had better policies. I am no fan of a loudmouth from New York. But he is the best for the country. It has been proven before covid. I just do not understand why Republicans constantly stab this man in the back. You talk about backed in a corner. Trump has the media as an enemy. Trump has both democrats and Republicans against him. They have spied on him. Falsely impeached him. Had the intelligence agencies try to spread disinformation on him. Not to mention the DOJ used against him for political reasons. Yet he still fights. Still an A-hole but he fights. And yes, it pisses me off people call Trump a felon for a memo on a check. Yet can easily excuse an action that kills 11,000 Americans a year.

It's interesting that according to your post that so many people from both sides dislike FF45 so much. Plenty of defenders here and on Fox. But not to worry, he will not go gently into the night after November. Probably urge his lemmings on to another confrontation. By the time the dust settles he'll probably be in his late 80's (that's if he's lucky with his cholesterol).
