Just listened to a couple of the Harris/Walz speeches and didn't hear any radical ideas, or name calling - save for calling FF & his sidekick just weird & creepy (which they are and then some). He was deployed overseas several times including Norway and Italy. He never saw active combat. I don't know if that makes him a veteran or not. I read about his retiring before going to Iraq. He says he left to run for congress before the unit was called up. I read an interesting article about Shapiro not being chosen. He took himself out without withdrawing from selection. He called Harris late Sunday and told her he wasn't sure about giving up the Governor seat right now. Speculation is, that he and his team thought about it and decided it was not in his best interest to be her V.P.. That, as VP, everything the administration did would hang on him. Also, if you look at history, VPs don't do well getting the Presidential seat. His team would rather take a cabinet position in the new administration where Shapiro could then run on his own record and still keep his name in the media. It was a political move on his part. If she loses, he ain't part of it and could run for Governor again in 2026 or Congress and make a move for President in 2028. If she wins, he takes a cabinet position and runs in either 2028 or 2032 depending on how Harris does. I said that last night..... Shapiro did not want to be VP... He wants to be the President...... Better chances of being President going through two terms as a popular governor of a large state..... They were worried about losing a Senate Seat if she chose him... Kelly holds John McCain's old seat... and he can hang on to it for as long as he wants it...
They have possibly set up 16 years of Democrats in the White House.
