Jack's hamburgers they came to town and built 3 new places. Tried them today the hamburger was very good. real meat and you can taste it. Like Wendy's was when they 1st opened. A Big Jack was $6.00 a double patty hamburger with all the fixings.

One in Camilla opened earlier. Good, clean and fairer priced than the other 3 chains we have. Service has gone down some since training staff left.

Is it a JACK'S OLD FASHIONED HAMBURGERS place?
We used to have one in old Pompano that was awesome. Pretty good place to hang back in the 80s. I don't believe it's still around. Conchy might know?

Jack's is still alive and well and within walking distance from my house. Still have the original Wing's and things across the street from Jacks and the Calypso restaurant is also nearby.

Then you’ve probably been to By Their Fruits (SW corner McNab and Cypress in the strip stores behind the gas station). A nice little produce market with great fish dips, soups and more!

Good hummus too. Sometimes she gets those Sicilian Eggplants that are striped. Good stuff. The pizza place next to it changed hands again.

It’s hard to find a really good burger anymore. Is it the meat? I don’t know.
I would as soon eat a real good burger as a steak.

Locally for me, it's hard to beat a Flanigan's burger especially the lunchtime deal.

There's a food truck in Carrabelle " A Train Stop". Best hamburger I've ever had. I'm like Illinoisfisherman, I'd rather have hamburger over steak anytime. burger and fries, $10.00

Fishermen Wife used to be in a food truck. Seemed like the food changed when they moved to the building. Is Fisherman’s Wife still in business?

It’s hard to find a really good burger anymore. Is it the meat? I don’t know. I would as soon eat a real good burger as a steak. I decided to try the local Adobe Springs restaurant recently. They moved downtown from an obscure location out on the highway and I've been hearing good things. One of the menu items was (I thought) a chicken green chili burger. Hamburgers with chopped Hatch green chilis are very popular here and there's a fair competition throughout New Mexico over whose are the best. "Chicken green chili burger," I thought. Interesting. "Let's give 'er a whirl." Turned out that the menu layout was confuzzling and the burger was a generous portion of really good ground steak. It was delicious. $12.95 including a mass of not-very-good fries. Hard to find good fries anywhere - they need to be cooked at 400º and no one will cook that high. 350º is more typical and they aren't as good. Soggy/limp. I hate those made with unpeeled potatoes, too. I'm not a lover of the skins.

There's a new place too, The Captains Kitchen, it's pretty good. Also, right next to Millender's Seafood is The Seafood Shack (I think that's what its called). She has good food and will load your plate up.

Jacks is a chain out of Alabama. They’re not bad. In Panama City the best burger is Tally Ho on Harrison ave. Been in business for 70 years.

I wish i could find a good burger here in Tampa. Spicer, ya got anything??? I'm a simple man when it comes to burgers. Chilli's has a good burger and reasonable priced. I can't see paying almost $20 for some ground meat. Fast food wise and I get Wendy's. Most of my burger consumption is from home. Love me a good homemade skillet burger. Cheese, mayo, mustard, and ketchup on a potato bun.
